Definition: The same MACD settings can mean different things on different timeframes: crossovers occur frequently on shorter timeframes and less often on daily charts, but they carry more significance there.
A note on interpretation: The more consecutive histogram bars extend in the opposite direction before a crossover, the more pronounced the preceding trend was. This crossover is often considered somewhat more informative than one occurring in a sideways market.
