Yesterday at noon, GEOD was the most eye-catching token on the top gainers list. Today, it gave back all those gains.

I compared the numbers from both days: yesterday GEOD surged to around 0.28, gaining over 20% in a single day. Today it fell about 15% over 24 hours to around 0.239, basically wiping out yesterday’s big-volume candle. I said at the time that I hadn’t seen any solid announcement, and that it looked more like follow-on buying triggered by a technical breakout. Rallies like this can fade just as quickly. Also, around 15.94 million tokens are due to unlock on November 28, mostly allocated to the team. I’ve made a note of that date.

Today it’s MET’s turn to be near the top of the gainers list, at around 0.319, up more than 14% over 24 hours, with roughly $56 million in trading volume—clearly higher than in recent days. The backdrop is that 1win’s token launched on Meteora a few days ago, with its public sale oversubscribed more than 15 times, bringing some of the token-launch activity back to Solana. But keep in mind that $SOL is still hovering around 89, MET also has about 22 million tokens unlocking each quarter, and it’s still a long way below its October high.

The broader market is quiet. $BTC is barely moving at around 75,800, the Fear & Greed Index has risen from 25 to 28, and order books are thin over the weekend.

My rule of thumb: for altcoins rising on volume alone, without a new announcement, first see whether the volume holds up the next day. If it doesn’t, treat it as a one-day pump and don’t chase the first candle. Yesterday’s GEOD is a perfect example.

Do you think $MET can hold on for a few days longer than GEOD this time, or will it be back where it started as soon as the market opens on Monday?

This is only my personal opinion and not investment advice.
