On November 8, ARK Invest founder Cathie Wood put recent market volatility and the midterm election results on a longer timeline in a post. Her view is that this election will not bring the AI revolution to a halt.

She also reminded companies to directly address the concerns of the communities where they build data centers. The benefits—lower property taxes, high-paying jobs, more business activity, and funding for schools—need to be clearly explained for projects to move forward.

The chain of effects she described is that AI-driven productivity gains will translate into four things: higher wages, stronger profit margins, more investment, and lower prices for goods. Ultimately, this points to affordability—that is, the strain of everyday expenses on ordinary people. She believes the U.S. economy is on a stronger growth trajectory than most investors think.

Her remarks came after a notable pullback in tech stocks.
