ARK Invest, led by “Cathie Wood,” has made another move. On November 6, it filed documents with the SEC outlining plans to launch 14 thematic ETFs, with AI and tokenization as the core themes.

The one most worth watching is the ARK Tokenized Market Infrastructure ETF. It won’t buy tokens directly, but will invest in companies providing infrastructure for RWA tokenization and on-chain capital markets—including tokenization platforms, stablecoin issuers, exchanges, custodians, and settlement networks. The filing also discloses that the fund may gain indirect exposure to ETH and SOL through total return swaps, but will not hold tokens directly.

The other 13 ETFs focus on specialized areas of AI: frontier AI labs, AI agents, AI factories, next-generation cloud services, and cyber defense, as well as themes such as robotics, brain-computer interfaces, and longevity.

One important point: this is a preliminary prospectus that will become effective in 75 days, but it has not yet been approved by the SEC, and the tickers and fees have not been set. Historically, an ARK filing does not mean that every proposed fund will ultimately launch.
The significance of this move is that traditional asset managers are treating “tokenized infrastructure” as a standalone equity investment theme, rather than focusing solely on token-holding ETFs.
