A customer pays you for a coffee with $BTC . You have to pay your supplier in dollars.

Square, Block’s payments service, lets eligible businesses receive that payment directly in dollars: it converts the bitcoin at the time of the transaction. The customer uses a Lightning-compatible wallet. This feature is available to eligible businesses in the United States, except in New York.

I think it’s useful to separate the convenience of accepting another payment method from the decision to keep BTC in the business’s till.

If you had a shop, would you prefer to receive dollars or keep BTC, and why?
