Ethereum’s Merge explained in a few sentences:
Before the “Merge,” Ethereum produced a block on average every 13 seconds. Afterward, it switched to 12-second slots, with at most one block per slot.
After the switch to proof of stake, block production no longer relies on computing power. Instead, validators who have staked ETH produce blocks according to protocol rules and vote to confirm them.
Don’t believe claims telling you to “migrate your ETH for the upgrade”: network upgrades don’t require users to exchange their coins.
$ETH 2236.91 (-0.17%)
