Approximately 2,300 BTC (about $175 million) has been transferred to a new Bitcoin address.
According to tracking by blockchain analytics firm Elliptic, cited by PANews, as of 16:00 Beijing time on November 7, these bitcoins were mainly converted from other stolen assets. About 44 million XRP (approximately $51 million) was transferred the previous evening, with most of it converted into Bitcoin via THORChain. Approximately 148 million XRP (about $173 million) remains. Around 53 BTC (about $4 million) entered Wasabi-like CoinJoin mixing transactions during the same period, bringing the cumulative total mixed to about 88 BTC (approximately $6.7 million). The hacker's main BTC and ETH holdings remain unmoved.
· The 2,300 BTC is the result of conversions, not the amount of Bitcoin originally stolen.
· Scope of the conclusion: This data reflects Elliptic's tracking at a single point in time, and address ownership has not been independently verified.
When assessing the movement of funds, do you look at the conversion side or the mixing side first?
