Here’s my breakdown.

I looked at a few sources, and the reasons being put forward for $XMR over the past couple of days are almost all about a recovery in the privacy sector. I think that explanation misses half the story.

The price has pulled back from 643.19 on 11-04 to 610.98 now,
a decline of 5.008%. The drop isn’t especially steep, but trading volume has fallen sharply: 90.4049 million USDT on 11-04,
then just 44.8657 million on 11-06. Volume has ebbed like the tide.

Trading volume halved in two days, while the price gave up only five percent. That suggests selling pressure isn’t urgent; it’s just that the people who were willing to buy earlier have stepped away.

It’s at the 48.02% percentile of its 20-day range, which runs from 563.88 to 661.97—right at the midpoint.

What I’m watching is open interest. The number of contracts is down just 1.51%, while the notional value is down 3.61%. The money hasn’t left; people have simply stopped adding new positions.

The funding rate is exactly 0.010000%, right on the standard baseline. No deviation at all. Long accounts are at 63.41%.

There weren’t many tokens at this level to begin with. Liquidity is concentrated at either end, with a gap in the middle.

Honestly, I had to check this figure twice before I believed it.

That’s the disagreement: price is at the midpoint, volume is pulling back, and open interest is crouched down below. No one is willing to show their hand first.

Over the same period, $BTC fell just 0.026%, while $ETH rose 0.115%. The broader market hasn’t given a clear direction, so this divergence at this level has to be specific to the asset itself.

My approach is to keep watching and stay out. Let it first break through either 563.88 or 661.97 on its own, then we can talk about what comes next.
