CoinDesk confirms: Binance account closures aren’t limited to France; users in Spain, Italy, and Poland received the same letter

All four countries are places where Binance previously had locally registered entities. The company contacted users in June. Portugal, which has no local entity, wasn’t specifically named in this round. Deposits have been suspended, but withdrawals remain open. A spokesperson said there was no sudden freeze.

Starting November 29, USDC will be deducted first, followed by other coins if there isn’t enough. If the balance isn’t even enough to cover the fees, the entire balance will be deducted. Any funds remaining after December 31 will be treated as belonging to inactive accounts and may be converted or transferred.
