BNB and Reserves Trending Topic | Latest Zero-Knowledge Proof Reportedly Ready | Reconfirmation Above $696

My position is to acknowledge progress on verification, but not to chase BNB just because of the three digits “98%.” Among the trending topics currently rising on Binance Square, the phased resumption of withdrawals and replenishment of affected assets are attracting the most attention. For traders, the platform’s reserves, withdrawal capabilities, and BNB’s price are related, but they are not interchangeable. There is one more verifiable piece of information today than in the previous announcement: on November 6, Binance said on its official account that the zero-knowledge proof for its latest Proof of Reserves was ready, allowing users to verify whether their Binance balances are covered at least one-to-one. Binance News also relayed this official update.

To put the timeline in perspective: on November 4, Binance disclosed in a recovery update that about 98% of the affected amount had been replenished and published a new reserve snapshot covering 44 assets; at the time, the full proof was still being generated. On November 6, the official announcement said the latest proof was ready, marking progress from “snapshot available, proof pending” to “verifiable.” But I have not rephrased this to mean that the remaining 2% has also been replenished. A Proof of Reserves verifies the custody assets and user liabilities at a specific snapshot point; it cannot replace checking the withdrawal status of each coin and each network today. The new batch on Binance’s November 6 resumption list still emphasized item-by-item safety checks and a gradual reopening—not a simultaneous resumption across the entire platform.

For BNB, the mechanism here is a reduction in some counterparty uncertainty related to the exchange, especially since BNB was also on the previous list of ten assets that could be independently verified. If user confidence and fund retention recover, expectations for BNB trading and its ecosystem could improve; but this is not a Binance commitment to buy back BNB, nor does it mean that demand for on-chain fees has already increased. The official Jenner mainnet upgrade on BNB Chain is still scheduled for December 8 and should not be conflated with the exchange’s Proof of Reserves. How has the market reacted so far? When I checked BNB/USD on Kraken, it was around $694.62, with an opening price of $692.73, a high of $696.31, and a low of $692.23 for the day. The price was only slightly above the open and had not yet broken the day’s high on this news.

I would treat $696.31 as the short-term confirmation level and $692.23 as the day’s support, with the 24-hour low at around $691.45. If the price pulls back and closes below $691.45 on the four-hour chart, the short-term bullish view based on easing risk is invalidated. If the price holds above $696.31 and official withdrawal statuses remain normal, then I would consider the next move. I’ll also keep watching for official confirmation that the remaining assets have been fully replenished, and whether users can independently reproduce the reserve verification. An increase in discussion of a trending topic indicates attention, not the scale of inflows.

If I were trading this myself, I would sit out for now, with my bias tentatively neutral and my position size at 0%—no leverage whatsoever. I would consider a spot long equal to 0.5% of total capital only if BNB closes above $696.31 on the one-hour chart, holds above $695 on a retest, and withdrawal statuses for the relevant assets and networks are normal. I would take half off at the first target of $700, then half of the remaining position at the second target of $705, and exit the remainder by trailing the one-hour lows. The initial stop-loss would be below $691; if the price falls back below $695 within an hour of entry, I would close the position proactively. If $691.45 breaks first, this plan is canceled and I’ll wait for a new setup.
