The team emerged from OpenAI’s bug bounty program and specializes in using AI agents for code review, penetration testing, and red teaming. As part of the partnership, OpenAI will expand their access to frontier models through Daybreak Red. That same week, OpenAI also increased its bounty rewards and brought Cathedral into the next security sprint.
As AI agents stitch together more and more services, the boundaries are getting blurrier. Finding the holes themselves is better than waiting for someone on the outside to break through.
