Crypto card users, take note: Gnosis Pay acknowledged a data breach on November 6. Unauthorized access was detected on November 3, targeting an old system used for its own-brand cards. Users’ personal information was exposed. According to a notice to affected users seen by Cointelegraph, this included full card numbers, expiration dates, CVVs, names, home addresses, linked wallet addresses, email addresses and phone numbers, and even some IBANs. The good news is that no funds were affected, the enterprise white-label platform was untouched, the breach was contained within two hours, and the credentials have been changed. But note two things: First, this old system was already scheduled to be retired on December 20, and the breach happened a month and a half before its retirement. Second, starting today, 3D verification is mandatory for all online purchases. If you received an email from Gnosis Pay, promptly follow its checklist to check your accounts. According to the company, if you didn’t receive one, you weren’t affected. Having an on-chain wallet address exposed alongside your real identity is more trouble than losing money. #GnosisPay #Security
