$AIOT 67 ten-thousand people hold it, but the average is only $14 per person, and it's up 18% today

670,000 people hold this coin, but the average is only $14 per person. It's up 18% today—$AIOT . No matter how you do the math, something doesn't add up.

First, the project: OKZOO, a DePIN project on the BNB Chain. It sells a small piece of hardware called P-mini that collects environmental data like air quality, noise, and CO2, and pairs it with a virtual pet app to keep people engaged. $AIOT is the token used for rewards. It held a TGE in 2025 via Binance Wallet and PancakeSwap, with a total supply of 1 billion tokens.

Now let's break down the numbers. The current price is around $0.12, up about 18.5% in 24 hours, with roughly $1.41 million in trading volume. There were 5.82K buy orders worth $721,000 and 6.97K sell orders worth $692,000. Net buying was only around $28,800—a tiny fraction of the volume. In other words, buying and selling were roughly even, yet the price rose nearly 20%.

There are 677,000 holders. The last time I wrote about it, there were 664,000. It's in the top tier by holder count. But there are three different market cap figures: one ranking lists $9.64 million, another source puts the circulating market cap at about $62.8 million and the fully diluted valuation at around $120 million. Using the ranking's figure, the average holding is about $14 per person; using the circulating market cap, it's about $93. Whichever figure you use, there are lots of people but little money.

The main pool is $AIOT paired with $BNB . It currently holds about 25.5 million AIOT and around 290 BNB, and the two sides line up. But on the same page, the pool's funds are listed as $405,000 in one place and $552,000 in the header. The figures conflict, so I can't give a reliable estimate of how deep the pool really is.

The top 10 addresses hold 64%, though another calculation puts it at 78.1%. The largest single address accounts for 23.5%. LP lockup is 0, trading tax is 0, and 103 out of 7,398 sell simulations failed.

So this 18.5% rise looks a bit shaky: hardly any net money came in, and the price was pushed up by a few trades. If you hold it, check two things first: whether your position can actually be sold, and whether that top address holding 23.5% has moved. If you don't hold it, don't just focus on the price increase. There are lots of holders but little money, and the top 10 have a tight grip—before jumping in, ask yourself whether the pool is deep enough.

Have you ever held a coin with lots of holders but little money? Are they genuine retail holders, or mostly dormant wallets left over from airdrops?

This is not investment advice. Alpha projects are high-risk and could go to zero.
