Nearly $1 billion in daily trading volume—who exactly is buying HONon?

HONon launched on BSC on May 30. In just 161 days, it has posted daily trading volume of $981 million—a figure that even surpasses that of many top mainstream coins. Its price is $214.6, up a modest 1.26% over 24 hours, but its market cap, liquidity, number of holder addresses, and 1-hour/4-hour price changes are all listed as N/A. Fund flows show zero net selling, social buzz is at 0, and sentiment is neutral. This unusual profile of “volume without price movement, volume without buzz” strongly suggests market-maker self-hedging or institutional OTC position swaps, rather than a naturally occurring retail-driven market.

The only clue is in the investment highlights section: Ondo. If HONon is connected to Ondo Finance’s RWA tokenization business, this huge volume may reflect large-scale on-chain asset transfers, liquidity routing, or market-making positions established by institutional players. Token concentration data is unavailable, and the risk warning section says “No obvious risks detected,” but the missing data itself is the biggest risk: it is impossible to verify the actual circulating supply, assess the degree of price control, or determine the source of selling pressure.

Key assessment: The extraordinary trading volume lacks fundamental support and social consensus. It is highly likely to reflect institutional liquidity operations rather than speculative trading. Retail participants lack equal access to information, so it is advisable to stay on the sidelines.
