U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs have once again seen substantial outflows.
According to the latest complete trading day data for November 6, U.S. spot BTC ETFs recorded combined net outflows of about $411.9 million, or approximately $412 million. This marks the second consecutive trading day of net outflows, bringing the two-day total to about $842 million.
📌 Three details about these outflows are worth noting:
1️⃣ BlackRock’s IBIT was the main source of outflows
On November 6, BlackRock’s IBIT recorded net outflows of about $403 million for the day, making it the main source of withdrawals. Fidelity’s FBTC, by contrast, saw net inflows of about $42.8 million, indicating that institutional investors were not all retreating in unison, with clear divergence between funds.
2️⃣ Outflows continued for two days, adding to weekly pressure
On November 5 and 6, spot BTC ETFs recorded net outflows of about $430.2 million and $411.9 million, respectively, for a combined two-day total of about $842.1 million. Across the five trading days through November 6, net outflows for the week totaled about $1.28 billion, pointing to notably weak fund flows.
3️⃣ ETFs still hold substantial assets; outflows do not mean institutions are leaving altogether
As of November 6, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs still had about $95.9 billion in assets under management and cumulative net inflows of about $55.8 billion. An increase in short-term redemptions does not mean the long-term institutional allocation rationale has fundamentally changed.
