Two weeks ago, @Polygon still looked like a typical "dying" L2. The price was trampling at the bottom, DeFi-TVL had long since rolled back, competitors (Base, others) took away attention, and the network was perceived as an old history of Ethereum scaling.

Now it is being discussed in the context of payments and regulated infrastructure.

On October 14, Polygon Labs closed the deal on Coinme. This gave money transmitter licenses + exemptions to 48 US states and registration in FinCEN.

Open Money Stack is no longer just an "on-chain routing + wallets". Now it's end-to-end: fiat input/output (banks, cards, cache), accounts, cross-chain routing and settlement through one API. Previously, business collected it from 4-5 providers. Now there is one integration.

At the end of October, @Solana Official was added (before that there was TRON). Now OMS works on six networks: Polygon, Ethereum, Base, BNB Chain, TRON and Solana.

On Polygon Chain in 2026 already >$850 billion USD-stablecoin transfers (about a billion every 8 hours since January).

Over these weeks, Polygon has become a company with licenses, one API and a confirmed volume that no longer needs to be proven.
