This update mainly covers two areas:
Referral promotions are getting stricter:
No referral codes, signup links, or referrer information in livestreams or their decorations.
Don’t use commission rates as a selling point in posts or your bio. No referral codes or links in your bio, and don’t pin referral posts.
You may not encourage existing users to delete their accounts, switch accounts, or re-register under someone else’s identity anywhere on Square.
Debate is fine, but don’t attack people.
Insults, curses, rallying people to gang up on someone, and doxxing are all violations.
Trying to skirt the rules with puns, code words, or suggestive screenshots won’t work—the platform will assess them in context.
Timeline: From now until November 20 is the rectification period. Check your livestreams, profile, and old posts, and clean them up.
After the 20th, the platform will reset bios and take action on content that hasn’t been updated. Routine inspections will follow, with increasingly severe penalties for repeat violations.
If you still have referral content up, update it as soon as you can.
