The prize pool is advertised as 12,000, but the average payout could be less than 5 U. Run the numbers first, then decide whether to get involved.

The alliance prize pool is 12,000 USDC, distributed across tiers based on rankings. The lion’s share goes to a few dozen top accounts, while the remaining few hundred people split the scraps—averaging anywhere from single digits to a few dozen U each. The new referral reward is capped at 10 USDC per account, and qualifying requires genuine deposits and trading. Each account needs at least 50 U in margin, tied up for a month. Put plainly, once you factor in the capital tied up, the time spent, and the risk of liquidation, the hourly return is worse than doing manual labor. The only two types of people with positive expected value are established accounts that already have active communities, and people who were going to trade anyway.

My plan: I’ll only do the parts that cost nothing, and I absolutely won’t add funds or trade more just to chase rewards. A 10 U reward isn’t worth taking on extra market risk.

A question: How many 10 U rewards would one liquidation wipe out on the extra positions you opened to earn that 10 U?
