👇 | Goldman Sachs cuts its gold price targets for 2026 and 2027
✔️ Goldman Sachs cut its forecasts for global gold prices, as the Fed’s continued shift toward tighter monetary policy weighs on gold
✔️ The bank lowered its end-2026 gold target to $4,150 per ounce from $4,650, and cut its end-2027 forecast to $4,800 from $5,400 📉
✔️ Despite lowering its targets, the bank still sees central bank purchases as the main support for gold, and expects central bank buying to rise to 60 tonnes per month during 2026 and 2027
✔️ Goldman Sachs said central banks, especially in emerging markets and China, still have room to increase gold’s share of their reserves 📈
