I used to have trouble distinguishing between moving average breakouts and golden crosses. A moving average breakout is about the relationship between the price and a moving average, while a golden cross is about the relationship between a shorter-term and a longer-term moving average—for example, when MA50 crosses above MA200.
Comparing several indicators is safer than looking at just one, but even more indicators can’t give you a definitive answer.
