Everyone, I’m planning to open a large long position at $YB .
Take profit: 0.056407
Stop loss: 0.050964
👇
You may be wondering the obvious question: why am I going long here?
Here’s what it looks like right now: the 20-day daily range is 0.05122 to 0.06828,
and the latest 15-minute candle closed at 0.05158, placing it at just the 2.1st percentile.
It’s down 18.46% over seven days. Having the nerve to buy into a drop like this isn’t about being brave.
The stop loss is at 0.050964, 1.19% below the entry price, with a 0.5% buffer beyond the 6-hour extreme; the take profit is at 0.056407,
9.36% above the entry, based on whichever is lower: the 12-hour countertrend extreme or the average daily volatility.
Average daily volatility is 9.36%. Keeping both the take profit and stop loss within this range is the discipline behind how I set these levels.
Giving the stop loss just a little room may seem stingy, but that’s exactly why I’m willing to enter here: if it breaks, I’m out. No need to argue with the market.
It’s like catching something rolling down the stairs from the floor below: you have to stand right by the edge of the step, so you can pull your foot back as soon as you reach out.
The positions in this market have just been shaken up, and buyers haven’t yet stepped in. That’s where the disagreement lies.
$BTC has been moving sideways today. The broader market hasn’t given it any boost; I’m betting only on a rebound from its own oversold condition.
To be honest, the risk-reward ratio on this trade is 7.84.
