【ZEC’s Most Counterintuitive Question: NU7 Is Live—Why Can’t You Treat It as a Buy Signal?】

NU7 addresses “whether it can run,” not “why users would pay.” With the price at $ 1324.38, up 2.6% over 24 hours and 4.7% over 7 days, and trading volume clearly picking up, the upgrade narrative is naturally being traded.

The daily chart is still in a recovery phase after a 58.5% pullback from its ATH. Watch 1410.03 as resistance and 1250.14 as support: only a move above the former counts as a breakout, while a breach of the latter invalidates the rebound structure. On the 4-hour chart, the range is 1250–1410; failure to break 1410 could easily lead to a pullback. On the 1-hour chart, watch whether a retest can form a higher low. A break below 1250 would make a lower low, while a high-volume move above 1410 would make a higher high.

NU7 cuts the target block time to 25 seconds, reduces the work wallets need to do to find private payments, and directs 60% of fees back into future block rewards. In addition, 12224 ZEC in old Sprout funds is temporarily stranded, but a future upgrade may be able to recover it. In practical terms, miner incentives, development funding, and the payment experience should all improve—but the roughly $15 million in stranded funds is also technical debt. The business case makes sense, provided the wallet experience actually catches up; otherwise, the upgrade remains just a narrative.

I’m leaning bullish for now, but 1410 is the confirmation level. If 1250 breaks, I’ll abandon my view outright. Do you think this is the start of real demand, or are traders using the upgrade to accumulate ahead of the market?
