A little background for newcomers first; those who’ve been here before can skip this.
You can think of Hongqiao Pin Hui as a “permanent version” of the China International Import Expo (CIIE). During the few days the expo is held each year, great products from around the world pour in. Once it wraps up, many of the exhibits don’t need to be shipped back to their countries of origin; they stay at Hongqiao Pin Hui year-round for display and sale. It’s operated by the Orient International Group—a bona fide state-owned enterprise—and everything there is officially imported and duty-paid, so you basically don’t have to worry about quality.
But there’s one pretty frustrating thing I mentioned last time: it still doesn’t have an online store for everyday shoppers like us, nor a mini-program where you can place an order directly. Want to buy something? You have to make the trip to a brick-and-mortar store yourself. They’ve opened more than 20 branches outside the area, but how would an average person even know about them? And even if you did, you’d have to make a special trip. The details are explained here:
A place with no online store, hiding 85,000 imported products
So I did something about it: since I go there often anyway, I’ll photograph things on-site and run errands for you. Last time I photographed a batch of discounted items—the list is in this post:
No online shop, no mini-program—let me pick up the good stuff at Hongqiao Pin Hui for you (with a list of 26 discounted items)

I went back again today and focused specifically on creative goods and handmade items—I wanted everyone to see that this place has far more than just food and drinks. It’s packed with all kinds of weird and wonderful things from around the world.
Everything below was photographed in person today. I’ve sorted it by country so you can see the origins—it’s like traveling halfway around the world just by looking:

Pokémon fountain pens and character collectibles (Japanese IP), German LAMY fountain pens, Japanese PLATINUM mechanical pencils, washable Crayola watercolor markers from the US, plus a little yellow duck pen set, zodiac notebook…and so much more. After seeing all this, doesn’t it feel less like an import supermarket and more like a miniature United Nations?
I’ll keep filming more in the coming days: beauty products, cosmetics, red and white wines, and more. Those are the main event—the discounts are even steeper than today’s, with lots of items marked down to 50–60% off or less. I’ll take my time, no rush. Tell me what you’d like to see and I’ll prioritize it.
Did anything catch your eye today? Or is there something you want to see that I haven’t filmed yet? Just DM me or leave a comment. If you want to buy something, same as always—I can pick it up for you. I’ll photograph it at the original price and include the receipt with your order.
