Two rallies today, and I barely reduced my position. I’m bullish on this setup: $AIN .

Let’s break down today’s action. Before 7 a.m., it spent several hours grinding between 0.102 and 0.104, with hourly volume only a little over 1 million U. The first wave hit at 8 a.m., with about 9.5 million U in hourly volume, sending the price straight to 0.133. It didn’t give back those gains, instead consolidating between 0.12 and 0.13 for more than three hours. The second wave at noon was even stronger: hourly volume was about 26.6 million U, with a spike to 0.1774, followed by another roughly 17.9 million U at 1 p.m. Total 24-hour volume has already topped 140 million U. That’s not the kind of volume a handful of people can generate.

The most important thing is open interest. Between 6 and 7 a.m., the value of contract open interest was around 17 million U. After the first wave, it rose to around 20 million U, then peaked at roughly 24 million U during the second wave. The price has now pulled back from its high to around 0.142, but open interest is still near 22.3 million U, down only slightly. If the spike and pullback were caused by major players selling off, open interest would have fallen sharply too. What we’re seeing now is that most of the positions are still in the market, waiting for the next push.

The long-short positioning isn’t overly crowded either: the account long-short ratio is 1.16, with around 54% of accounts long—not one-sided. The long-short ratio for large traders’ positions is 1.53, showing that big money is clearly leaning bullish. The funding rate is around +0.007%, which is fairly mild—not overheated.

I’m watching two levels. 0.1300 was the platform before the noon rally and the upper edge of the first wave’s consolidation range. The 1 p.m. wick dipped to 0.127 but was quickly bought back up, suggesting there are buyers below. I’ll exit if it breaks below 0.1300; as long as it stays above, I’ll keep holding. Above that, 0.1560 is the level it has repeatedly failed to break over the past two hours. If it gets above that on strong volume, the 0.1774 wick high is the next stop.

Do you think the long upper wick at noon was the major players testing the market, or someone selling into strength? With the open-interest data right here, I’m more convinced it was the former.
