【Observation】CMF crosses above the zero line. Can it be used as a basis for buying?

This is a follow-up to the CMF observation in the draft prepared on November 6, 2026, after checking it against subsequent information. The basis is that CMF also turns positive when the price breaks above a previously marked resistance level. Fidelity explains that CMF combines the closing price’s position within the period’s high-low range with trading volume; a positive value means the money flow indicator is positive according to its calculation method, not that there is an actual net inflow of funds.

Hypothetical example: The resistance zone is at 100, the price closes at 102, and CMF turns from negative to positive. My approach is to first note this as a clue that “participation in the breakout may be improving,” then see whether the price can hold above the zone and whether CMF remains positive. These figures are for illustration and do not represent real-time prices for any cryptocurrency.

If the price falls back into the range or CMF turns negative, the original assessment needs to be revisited. CMF is useful for helping confirm price structure, but it cannot guarantee a rise on its own. The timeframe, exchange, and volume methodology should also remain consistent.

Would you use CMF as a confirmation tool or as a standalone entry signal?
