Short-term panic is often a litmus test for long-term fundamentals.

In the Binance hack incident, 2.575 million $LINK were sold off, creating a bout of event-driven selling pressure in the market. But this kind of one-off supply shock changes the pace, not the trend. Take a longer view, and Chainlink’s fundamentals are actually continuing to strengthen:

1. Chainlink 24/7 has officially launched, moving oracle services toward round-the-clock operation and further expanding the boundaries of availability;
2. Deep integration with leading protocols such as Aave means on-chain finance is becoming increasingly reliant on its data infrastructure;
3. Partnerships with traditional institutions such as Hanwha Securities are advancing RWA adoption, gradually realizing the value of its role as a gateway for bringing real-world assets on-chain;
4. Monthly buybacks are ongoing, alongside investments in AI-assisted finance, reinforcing support from both the demand side and the narrative side.

The current price is about $10.77, with a market cap of about $8.06 billion and 24-hour trading volume of about $407 million. The hole dug by the hacker’s sell-off will ultimately have to be filled by fundamentals. Short-term volatility is just that—volatility. The leading oracle’s moat hasn’t narrowed because of one sell-off; instead, it has given long-term investors a window to reassess the valuation.
