Lately, quite a few followers have asked me: “I’ve made some gains in my account, but whenever it’s time to withdraw, I panic. I don’t know which route is safer.”

Drawing on my years of experience in crypto, I’ll share a few common approaches that are relatively safer.

If you’re going the Hong Kong route, it’s basically an in-person currency exchange. But be sure to make several trips yourself, don’t carry too much at once, and avoid shady, unverified channels, or things can easily go wrong.

If you’re using a bank transfer, you can first convert USDT to U.S. dollars on an exchange, then withdraw to an overseas account—for example, a bank account that accepts foreign-currency payments. Just make sure to prepare the account in advance; don’t try to set everything up at the last minute.

Another option is withdrawing through an exchange’s C2C service. A lot of people use this method, and it’s relatively convenient. But be sure to vet merchants carefully: prioritize those with a long history, high trading volume, and consistent reviews. Keep the entire transaction on the platform, and don’t take the conversation private or outside the system.

Now, let’s talk about a banking risk-control issue that many people overlook.

If an account sits unused for a long time or has an unusually clean transaction history, it can actually attract more scrutiny. Accounts with normal spending and regular fund movements are often more stable.

When making transactions, try not to move large sums in and out frequently, and don’t shuffle funds back and forth repeatedly in a single day. Keep the pace natural.

If your account does get flagged for review, don’t panic. Usually, you just need to cooperate with the bank and explain where the funds came from. As long as the source is legitimate and the transaction path is clear, it can generally be resolved.

Put simply, there’s no such thing as “absolute safety” when it comes to withdrawals—only ways to “reduce risk.”

In the end, what matters for traders isn’t how much they make, but whether they can withdraw their profits successfully.
