Ethereum’s Glamsterdam upgrade delayed: On November 6, the Ethereum Foundation announced that activation of Glamsterdam on the Hoodi testnet would be postponed. Security firm ChainSecurity found that changes to Gas accounting rules in EIP-8037 and EIP-8038 could invalidate eight assumptions relied on by some existing smart contracts, causing unexpected behavior. Core developers have decided to delay the fork and set a new activation date once the issues are resolved; development of the next-generation upgrade, Hegota, is unaffected. On November 6, ETH traded near $2,220, with over $210 million in liquidations over 24 hours. Source: Ethereum Foundation announcement / The Market Periodical, November 7. $ETH
