4.259 BTC moved to an exchange — but don’t rush to say Trump Media is selling.
The facts: A wallet Arkham labeled as collateral for Trump Media’s convertible notes sent 4.259 BTC (about $342 million) to Crypto.com on Nov. 5 in two transactions — 2,140.03 and 2,119.31 BTC. That’s almost exactly the same as the 4,260.73 BTC reported as bond collateral in the Q2 report. Reported by CoinDesk on Nov. 6 and confirmed by several independent media outlets.
My take: A transfer to an exchange isn’t proof of a sale. In May and August, the company also moved BTC to Crypto.com and said it was for custody, not a sale. But the timing is worth noting: bondholders can demand about $1 billion in cash repayment on Nov. 30, and the company itself wrote in its filing that selling BTC is one possible source of funds if refinancing falls short.
What I’m watching next: the next filing and whether BTC from that wallet moves again — plus U.S. CPI on Nov. 10 as a market-direction indicator. BTC itself is still around $75,800 this morning, below the $78,000–$80,000 zone that broke last Thursday.
Do you think this is preparation to sell and pay off debt, or just another custody transfer like before?
This is my analysis, not financial advice — always DYOR.
