In cross-margin mode, lowering the leverage multiplier alone won’t move the liquidation price farther away. Reducing your position or adding funds is what helps.
Liquidation occurs when your margin balance falls to the maintenance margin level—not when your margin is completely depleted.
Check the liquidation price as soon as you open a position, then compare it with the usual daily price range. If it’s too close, reduce your position.
