An unfamiliar token suddenly appears in your wallet—should you do anything about it?
On public blockchains such as Ethereum, anyone can send tokens to any address, and the recipient receives them without having to sign anything.
Some scam tokens impersonate the names and icons of well-known tokens. You can't tell whether they're real just by looking at the name; check the contract address.
The most important thing to keep in mind when managing your holdings: don't open websites listed in token names, and definitely don't sign an approval just to deal with these tokens.
