BNB Chain Adds Compliance Controls for RWAs š
BNB Chainās Jenner hardfork introduces CAS20, a native Compliant Asset Standard for stablecoins and tokenized real-world assets. It gives issuers protocol-level tools for transfer policies, allow/blocklists, pausing, and separate mint, burn, and seizure roles.
CAS20 is built into the chain but not yet active: token creation and policy changes require separate governance approval. The upgrade also adds a Payment Lane reserving 5% of block gas for eligible payments, plus millisecond timestamps for trading and auction applications.
