I’ve looked at several sources. Here’s my synthesis.

$XRP is now at 1.1782, down 2.159% over the past 24 hours. Today’s low has already touched 1.1711.

This price has broken something.

The daily range over the past 20 trading days was 1.1991 to 1.3987, and the closing-price low was already hovering near 1.1991. Including today’s candle, the 21-day range is 1.1711 to 1.3987, putting it at just the 3.1st percentile.

The price has fallen below the bottom of the 20-day range, yet not a single account holding a position intends to exit. That’s the most troubling part.

The long-short account ratio is 3.0193, with long accounts making up 75.12%. The price is moving down, but the majority is still standing its ground. The positions haven’t changed hands.

Open interest by contract count fell 3.19% over the past 24 hours, while notional value fell 5.70%. Notional value fell 2.51 percentage points more than contract count, which means the decline is being driven by price itself, not by positions being unwound.

The funding rate is still positive at 0.005604%; nobody is willing to pay even a penny. Honestly, that’s a divergence: the price is falling, but longs are still paying the cost of holding their positions.

It’s like all the lights downstairs are on, but no one has come down.

The last group of people in the market is camped by the door, refusing to leave. Liquidity is locked up in there, and I won’t step in at a level like this.

Over the same period, $BTC rose 0.654% and $ETH rose 0.912%. The broader market is green, while this one is red.

My criteria are simple: when the price breaks out of the range, positions remain firm, and the funding rate is still positive—all three at once—I pay less attention to it.

What do you think?
