Today was a dark day for the entire market.
Here's the one-minute summary:
1. BTC AT ITS LOWEST SINCE AUGUST
BTC fell to $74,780, its lowest price since August 21.
It closed Thursday at $76,088 and continued falling today to $75,300–$75,800.
The post-election rally was completely wiped out.
ETH fell to $2,218 (-8%), XRP to $1.18 (-9.7%), SOL to $89 (-6.9%).2.
THE CULPRIT WASN'T CRYPTO, IT WAS WALL STREET
The Nasdaq fell 5.52%, its worst day in 19 months. The S&P 500 fell 4.36% and lost $3 TRILLION in one day.
Why? AI bubble fears + a Democratic victory in the midterms = a possible slowdown in data center development.
Nvidia -9.3%, AMD -17.3%.3.
LIQUIDATIONS + ETFs IN THE RED$1.26 TRILLION liquidated in 24 hours, 89% of them longs. More than 240,000 traders wiped out.
BTC ETFs saw $430.2M in outflows yesterday alone. Fidelity led with $199.9M and BlackRock with $105M.
That brings outflows to $869.8M this week and $510M so far this year. No fund saw inflows.4.
TODAY'S NEWS THAT MADE EVERYTHING WORSE
The U.S. jobs report came out: +103,000 jobs, more than expected.
That makes a Fed rate cut in December less likely and added more pressure.5.
WHAT AM I WATCHING NOW?
Key support: $75,000 - $74,780. If it closes below that on the daily chart, we're headed to $73,200 (200-day moving average).
Resistance: $76,500 and $80,000.
Fear and Greed at 28 = FEAR.
Historically, that's where patient investors start accumulating.
This isn't the time to use leverage.
It's time to have a plan.
