The more the market falls, the more people ask the same question: Could Bitcoin go to zero?

According to reports citing Google Trends, searches for “Bitcoin to Zero” surged by around 450% within 24 hours on November 6, topping 1.5 million and becoming one of the day’s top Google searches. That same day, Bitcoin fell from a post-midterm-election high of about $81,105 on November 4 to around $75,000, while the Crypto Fear & Greed Index dropped to 28 (Fear).

A surge in search volume is not itself a price signal: historically, such spikes in searches about going “to zero” have often occurred when market sentiment is at its most fearful. Fear is real sentiment data; going to zero is just a question in the search box.
