How to trade short-term futures today? Let’s talk about the framework.

Before price speaks, leverage should stay quiet.

Check how crowded the trade is before looking at price.

BTC open interest notional: $7.35 billion, 24h +2.31%
Account-wide long/short ratio: 3.10
BTC 75732 (-0.49%), ETH 2225 (-0.63%).

Price is down -0.49%, but open interest is still rising +2.31%—new short positions. Treat any bounce as a pullback, not a reversal.

Key levels: upside 76,338, downside 74,369. Keep one-way exposure below 2x account equity. Place stops beyond the market structure, not at a round-number price that just feels right.

One futures outlook: if the 1h candle fails to close above 76416, cancel all breakout orders.

Data: Binance spot 24h / Binance USDⓈ-M / Yahoo daily (5-day change) / altme_fng / mempool_fees / defillama_chains / coingecko_trending. Missing data is not filled in.
Are you flat and waiting for a pullback, or are you already in?

Useful insight: the long/short ratio based only on account counts can be misleading; the ratio of large traders’ positions is a better measure of actual crowding.
Idea: If funding turns positive and the long/short ratio is >1.15, flag it as crowded first—don’t call it a chase.
