Everyone, I’m opening a large short position on $ACT .

Take profit: 0.009534

Stop loss: 0.010663

👇 Here are all the reasons behind this trade.

You might be asking the obvious question: why short at this level?

Because the price is simply too high.

The range over nearly 20 days is 0.007355 to 0.01061, and the current price of 0.010269 is at the 89.5th percentile.
It’s up 24.74% in seven days. This is the chart that made me most uneasy when I was reviewing the market today.

The latest 15-minute candle closed at 0.010269—I watched it close and then entered the trade.

Honestly, I can’t claim a high win rate for a short at this level. The buying support during that surge looks shaky to me.
Four hours ago, this asset hadn’t even held above 0.01, but three hours later it had already made a move equal to an entire day’s average volatility.

One more comparison with the broader market: $BTC is down 0.403% over 24 hours, and $ETH is down 0.786%.
This asset is up double digits over the same period. Its gains have nothing to do with the broader market; they’re purely driven by the changing hands of its own positions.

Why am I comfortable placing the stop loss so close? Adding a 0.5% buffer above the six-hour high gives 0.010663, which is 3.84% above the current price.

The take-profit is set at 0.009534, 7.16% below the current price, right at the upper limit of the 7.16% daily average volatility.

The risk-reward ratio for this trade is about 1.86.

My rule is strict: both take-profit and stop-loss levels must fall within the daily average volatility. I’d rather pass on anything beyond that. When volatility rises, liquidity thins out,
and slippage can wipe out that entire risk-reward margin. I’ve learned that lesson too many times—it’s like tripping over the same stone again and again.

The rest is up to the market. What do you think of this level?
