Binance is shutting down completely in France: all French accounts will be closed starting December 31, and coins left behind will incur monthly fees.

On November 6, Binance emailed its French users: deposits have been suspended, and all French accounts will be closed starting December 31.
November 29 is the settlement date: accounts still holding coins will be charged 0.025% of the balance or 10 USDC per month, whichever is higher. The first charge will be made within three days after the 29th, and the second after December 24. Withdraw everything before the 29th and you won’t be charged a cent.
At the time of publication, Bitcoin was at $75,838, down 0.13% over 24 hours (live TradingView Bitstamp reading).

The root cause is the MiCA license: since June 30, EU rules have required firms to be licensed to operate. Binance hasn’t obtained one, and its services in France have been tightening since July 1. This is the final ultimatum.
This marks the complete exit of the world’s largest exchange from a major EU market—not a minor matter of simply opening an account somewhere else.

If you have funds in a French account, withdrawing everything before November 29 is your best bet—unless Binance obtains a MiCA license before December 31. Binance is still absent from ESMA’s register, so that door is probably closing.

Do you think Binance will return to France, or has the door to the EU closed for good?
