You open the proof of reserves and the balance doesn’t match what you see today. Before thinking money is missing, check the date.

Binance News reported on November 6 that the cryptographic proof for its latest report is ready. But that report is a snapshot in time, not a live counter.

For example: you had 0.01$BTC when the snapshot was taken and then received another 0.01. Seeing 0.01 in that report and 0.02 now can be perfectly consistent.

The useful check is whether your balance was included on the selected date and which assets the proof covered. The difference alone doesn’t prove a loss, but it’s also not something to ignore if your transactions don’t explain it.

First compare the same point in time; then draw conclusions.
