Chainalysis is partially back online: restoring services does not mean the incident is over.
Updated at 15:30 Vietnam time on 06/11/2026, Chainalysis said it had begun restoring KYT—the transaction monitoring tool—and Address Screening in phases. Reactor and Data Solutions are still being worked on for restoration.
Users whose access has been reinstated must change their passwords and replace their API keys, where applicable, before registering transactions.
Important context: an update on 04/11 US time confirmed that the names, account details, password hashes, and valid authentication tokens of all users had been exposed. “Token” here means an authentication credential, not a coin.
My take: the crypto ecosystem still depends on data and risk-control layers outside the blockchain. If one link is disrupted, operational processes also need a backup plan.
Teams using the service should follow the official guidance and navigate to the familiar site themselves rather than clicking unfamiliar password-reset links.
In your view, should crypto companies prioritize adding more tools or limiting access to each tool?
