The prize pool looks like 12,000, but the per-person share could be less than 5 USDC.

Bottom line: I’ll only do this on the side. It’s not worth putting resources into it specifically.

Let’s break down the math. The total prize pool is 12,000 USDC, and the new-user referral reward is up to 10 USDC. Based on similar past campaigns, the number of eligible participants will probably exceed 2,000, putting the average reward at around 5 USDC. To get the full reward, you’d need to tie up several thousand USDC and meet the first-trade and trading-volume requirements. The campaign lasts three to seven days, and keeping an eye on it for two hours a day means the opportunity cost far exceeds 5 USDC. The bigger the prize pool and the more eligible participants, the smaller each person’s share—that’s just division.

My plan: I’ll go through the process using my existing account, without adding to my position, opening a new account, or borrowing funds. I’ll only participate if the expected value is positive.

A question: Would you lock up several thousand USDC for a week for a few dollars of expected value?
