The Greek Parliament has passed a crypto tax: 10% on gains from crypto assets and 15% on DeFi income (reported by CoinDesk on November 6).
My take:
• 10% isn’t high by European standards and is more favorable than in many countries, but giving DeFi its own tax bracket shows that regulation is beginning to distinguish between different use cases
• How to report on-chain income and how to provide evidence will be the most challenging parts of implementation
• Tax news often gets overlooked when markets are down, but in the long run, clear rules are actually a good thing for mainstream assets like $BTC $ETH
What’s the crypto tax rate where you live? Let’s talk in the comments.
