#XRP Lending Protocol Gains Two Additional Validator Votes, Reaching 60% Support.

The XRP Ledger’s native Lending Protocol amendment, XLS-66, has received two more Yes votes from validators, bringing total support to 21 out of 35. It needs 29 Yes votes to reach the required 80% approval level and start a mandatory two-week waiting period. This means it still needs eight more validators to vote in favor.

If approved, XLS-66 would allow users to lend and borrow digital assets directly on the XRP Ledger. It would use pooled funds from depositors to provide fixed-term loans, with underwriters assessing borrowers and setting loan terms. The system also depends on XLS-65, which would introduce Single Asset Vaults to pool those funds. XLS-65 currently has 23 of 35 validator votes, or 65.7%, leaving it six votes short of the required 29.
