🚨Today, the entire market is on edge
because of the U.S. jobs report (NFP), which will be released soon.
The figures circulating behind the scenes point to around 65,000 new jobs expected and a steady unemployment rate of 4.2%.
But preliminary data (ADP) came in stronger than expected (86,000 jobs), creating tension and uncertainty.
Here are the scenarios 👇
• If the figure is very high (above 65,000): this means the economy is doing well, but the Fed could delay rate cuts, push bond yields higher, and weigh on tech stocks (Nasdaq), which already fell 5.5% yesterday.
• If the figure is low (below 65,000): this means the economy is slowing down, reigniting growth concerns and hurting cyclical stocks, but it could pave the way for more accommodative monetary policy.
• The ideal scenario: a moderate figure, steady unemployment, and reasonable wages.
In that case, the market could catch its breath and rebound.
In my view, today the market doesn't need a spectacular figure, but a reassuring one.
Strong data makes the Fed more restrictive, while weak data raises fears of a recession.
The middle ground could protect AI-related stocks from another wave of selling.
Bitcoin is currently around 76,100. If the report is moderate, we could see a quick rebound.
On the other hand, if it is very strong, selling pressure could return.
