On the night of November 4, the night before last, my account was only a little over 1,000 U away from breaking even. I had the thought of closing my positions, but didn’t act in time. If only I’d been more decisive and brave and hit “Close All” then 😭😭😭. You can’t see what’s behind you, and there’s no medicine for regret. Last night, November 5, U.S. tech stocks plunged, and all my positions—#KORU #SOXL —dropped at the same time. I was terrified and closed them all. What a difference a day makes. I watched my losses keep growing, and there was nothing I could do. I really had no choice; I could only close everything in time. Looking at it now, I closed at a higher price than the current one. I don’t know if I did the right thing.
I know prices could recover after a few days, but the moment you hit “Close,” you’re already out... I can only blame myself: in the futures market, I had far too little awareness of the risks, my positions were too large, I was too greedy, and I opened several more positions in the same direction.
