Let’s talk about the Ethereum ERC-20 standard.
The decimals parameter in ERC-20 specifies how many digits can be used after the decimal point. Many tokens use 18 decimal places, while some use only 6.
To be honest, I only learned this one later: don’t transfer tokens directly to the token’s own contract address. These contracts usually don’t have a way to return them, so once you send them there, you basically can’t get them back.
ERC-20 tokens are issued on Ethereum, and each transfer requires $ETH to pay for gas.
Size your positions according to your risk tolerance, and leave yourself plenty of room.
