💰 $124 MILLION IN STOLEN BINANCE FUNDS CONVERTED TO BTC, NEARLY DOUBLING IN ONE DAY

💸 1,650 BTC in stolen funds flowed into new wallets
Around 1,650 BTC, worth approximately $124 million, linked to the Binance theft flowed into new BTC addresses, nearly doubling the amount from the previous day. Most of the latest increase went through THORChain to convert XRP to BTC.

🔢 Remaining XRP and how long the hackers stayed hidden
On November 2, the hackers transferred 233 million XRP to 6 new addresses. So far, around 42 million XRP, worth approximately $50 million, has been moved out, leaving 192 million XRP, worth approximately $226 million. Security organization SEAL said the TraderTraitor group, linked to North Korea and suspected of carrying out the October 29 theft, may have been hiding in Binance's systems for around 8 weeks before striking.

🌤️ The stolen funds are still being laundered through cross-chain bridges, and most of the XRP has yet to be converted, suggesting the investigation still has a long way to go.
