Nonfarm payrolls are due at 8:30 a.m. ET this morning, but three data sources are already at odds: ADP says private employers added 86,000 jobs in October, Revelio says the nationwide gain was just 26,000, and Wall Street consensus is 65,000—after just 29,000 in September. Who’s right could determine whether the Fed raises rates in December: Polymarket now puts the odds of a hike at 69%, down a bit from 80% a day earlier. On October 28, the Fed held rates steady at 3.75%–4.00%, by a 10–2 vote; both dissenters wanted a larger rate cut. Markets have already taken a hit: Bitcoin is hovering around $75,600, down about 5.5% in 24 hours, below its 200-day moving average and on track for a fifth consecutive weekly loss; the Fear & Greed Index is at 28, in “extreme fear” territory. Gold is at $4,068 after touching a two-week high of $4,146 yesterday before the dollar pushed it back down. When the data comes out, we’ll either breathe a sigh of relief or take another hit—watch the 4.2% unemployment rate. #非农 #FederalReserve
