The number of issuers opposing the tokenized trading of their own shares on OKXICE TSV, a joint venture between OKX and Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), rose from 62 on November 4 to 67 on November 5. The new additions are Meta, Palantir, S&P Global, KLA, and Super Micro Computer. Apple, Nvidia, Tesla, Amazon, and Microsoft had already objected.

More revealing than the list is the wording of the announcement: the revised version no longer names specific tradable assets; the payment stablecoin wording changed from a choice of three to “for example,” followed by two options. $USDT was removed, while $USDC and USDG remain.

Collective opposition from issuers is one thing; the platform itself narrowing the list of assets and stablecoin options in advance is another. The latter looks more like leaving room for compliance. The notice doesn’t explain either change. Whether the list of assets returns in the next announcement will say more about whether OKXICE intends to continue than the number 67.
