Markets are closing Friday with one unanswered question: NFP, in 30 minutes.
Today's numbers:
• BTC ~$76.006 (15m kline closes at 19:45 WIB) — on Thursday it briefly hit $80.918, then fell to a low of $75.208 (Coinspeaker, Nov. 6).
• ETH ~$2.238 and SOL ~$90,18 (close at 19:45 WIB) — ETH was at $2.420 on Thursday, SOL at $96,49.
• NFP at 20:30 WIB: consensus is +65,000 jobs vs. +29,000 in September; unemployment at 4.2% (economic calendar + Reuters poll, Nov. 6).
• Gold briefly hit $4.147 on Thursday, its highest in more than two weeks — now ~$4.050–$4.063, back below $4.100 (TradingKey & SifuGold, Nov. 6).
• Odds of a December Fed hike are ~67–68% (CME FedWatch via TradingKey; NordFX, Nov. 6).
My take: this is a waiting day, not a recovery day. BTC, ETH, and SOL are still parked near Thursday's lows — this afternoon's bounce to $76.300 wasn't enough to change anything, and gold slipping back below $4.100 shows the market isn't willing to take a bet before the data comes out. NFP will determine whether expectations for a December hike rise or fall, and crypto will follow that direction.
What I'm watching next: the 20:30 WIB NFP release and UoM consumer sentiment at 22:00 WIB; if the data is strong, Thursday's low of $75.208 will be tested — if the data is weak, today's high of $76.346.
Which NFP result worries you more — too strong, making a hike more certain, or too weak, making the economy look like it's slowing down?
This is my analysis, not financial advice — always DYOR.
